A newer fall fashion week with runway and pop-up programming. Smaller than Food & Wine, but it pulls a design-and-retail crowd into the core. Pair content with East Cooper, downtown condos, and design-forward listings rather than ski-in/ski-out.

Where Wagner Park, downtown Aspen, and Aspen Mountain
Aspen’s toast-to-winter weekend. Locals-forward, but it is the first packed downtown weekend of ski season. Use it as a “what December actually feels like in town” post: West End walkability, Wagner Park energy, and why December inventory that is still sitting after Wintersköl often waits for January.

Where Aspen and Snowmass; flagship parties include the ARC pool finale
One of the most reliable mid-January demand weeks in town. Lodging packages and passes are already being sold. For listings: downtown walk-to-everything condos and hotel-branded residences outperform isolated homes this week. For buyers: if they want to be here for the 50th, they should be under contract this fall.

This is the unofficial start of summer and the single best luxury-PR week on the calendar. Wagner Park becomes the center of town. Downtown, West End, and anything walkable to the Grand Tasting tents commands a premium. Do not write a recap. Write: which streets book first, why lock-box access gets harder, and why serious buyers who want a June 2027 arrival need to be in contract by early spring. Note: organizers have said the Classic will proceed in 2027 even with planned airport work — many guests already fly into nearby airports and drive.
When January 2027 at Buttermilk — exact weekend TBA
Status Three-year host deal through winter 2028/29. Inaugural X Games League winter season launches January 2027. Dates “coming in the coming months.” Last year’s event was January 23–25, 2026.
Buttermilk / Tiehack / West Buttermilk is the neighborhood story. Traffic and media land on Owl Creek and the airport-adjacent side of town. Write the real-estate piece around Buttermilk base living, not downtown restaurants. Do not publish a fake date — use “January 2027, dates TBA” until X Games posts.

Snowmass’s biggest music weekend. VIP Patron tents (live cooking, premium bars, largely tax-deductible) and the JAS Deck are the luxury hooks — VIP has historically been phone-sale only.
